The Red Wine “Experimentum” MERLOT 2016 "is a monovarietal wine, 100% of the merlot variety, the result of a vineyard located in the middle of Serra da Estrela.

In a terroir of excellence, where the strains of Quinta Madre de Água are located, many of them aged between 15 and 40 years old and resulting from a passion for wine was another dream come true with the work in white and red varieties, national and foreign.

Vineyards located at 600 meters of altitude and a century-old cellar provide this wine vinified by the traditional process with prolonged maceration in stainless steel vats with controlled fermentation temperatures.

Tasting Notes: When you try the Red Wine Experimentum MERLOT 2016, you can see a beautiful purple color wrapped in reflections, on the nose it shows to be a wine with an aroma of black pepper, nutmeg and rosemary, already in the mouth it becomes a Wine with a medium body and light acidity, typically used where the spice occupies a prominent place, it provides a memorable pleasure to those who consume.

Harmonization: From the experience we have had with this Red Wine Experimentum MERLOT 2016, our recommendation is to serve it with red meat dishes and strong cheeses.

Serving temperature is: Should be served at a temperature between 16ºC and 18ºC.
