The Bairrada Wine Region is one of the fourteen wine producing regions in Portugal, in the past, a land of passage and of conquests, of struggles between Christians and Arabs at the time of the formation of Portugal, when the capital of the kingdom was Coimbra and the way of the affirmation went south, nowadays it is full of vitality, full of history, looking for a place in the future that we believe it will have.

The COLINAS Reserva 2012 Red Wine is a DOC Wine and here it has a blend that represents the Bairrada Region very well, whose terroir has an Atlantic influence climate, protected by the mountains of Caramulo and Buçaco. Result of a property with vineyards planted on gentle hills, with clay-limestone soils.

This wine is produced at Quinta de S. Lourenço where the tradition of Bairrada is maintained, in the locality of São Lourenço do Bairro, the oldest town in the municipality of Anadia and Bairrada with records since the 9th century, where a remodeled vineyard is located. in 2009 and replanted with several national and international grape varieties (eg Touriga Nacional, Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Petit Verdot, Syrah, Pinot Noir, Pinot Meunier, Chardonnay, Sauvignon Blanc and Arinto), allowing for wide and diversified results, namely excellent red wines, rosés, whites and sparkling wines. This is a good example!

Tasting Notes: When tasting or enjoying this COLINAS Reserva 2012 Red Wine you will definitely notice a beautiful ruby ​​color, on the nose it starts to reveal notes of ripe black fruit turning to notes of smoked and cocoa, already in the mouth, it shows voluminous in the mouth , also shows a ripe fruit with touches of spices, good acidity combined with light tannins that portends a good evolution in bottle.

Grapes: Touriga Nacional, Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot.

Harmonization: Our recommendation is to serve the COLINAS Reserva 2012 Red Wine to accompany meals with Red Meats, Spicy and Spicy Food, White Meats and Cheeses (especially cured).

Serving temperature is: Serve this wine between 17º and 18ºC.

Final note: Anyone betting on saving for later, we recommend careful conservation, namely in a place protected from light and without great thermal amplitudes, preferably between 12 and 14ºC.
