This olive oil with the label Casa Anadia is heir to an ancient tradition that dates back at least to the century. XVII, time of construction of the old manor with chapel, today integrated in Quinta do Bom Sucesso, in Alferrarede, municipality of Abrantes in the Ribatejo region.
Know that in the lands where the raw material is still extracted today, olives have traces of agricultural activities since the 17th century.
Arrived here, this Casa da Anadia Olive Oil is the continuation of a history associated with the culture of Portuguese Olive Oil.
The olive groves present in the farm where the olive trees are planted, allowing the harvesting of the olives for the production of these magnificent olive oils, occupy an area of 100ha, between traditional olive groves and intensive olive groves, international and Portuguese varieties are produced, the latter giving rise to olive oils of Ribatejo Protected Designation of Origin (DOP).
Some of the existing varieties: Galega, Cobrançosa, Picual, Arbequina, etc.
There are also olives produced from centuries-old olive trees located on the farm.
Casa Anadia olive oils are the result of three different terroirs in Alferrarede, with clay, limestone and shale soils to the north. The result is olive oils from a single batch, with a perfect alchemy between the varieties and the corresponding soil. Enjoy!
The "Casa Anadia Private Collection Extra Virgin Olive Oil Special Edition" Olive Oil originates from the olive trees and is located between 90Ha of traditional olive groves, 10Ha super intensive, and hundreds of olive trees over a hundred years old, resulting in the most refined fusion between the best olives , of the best varieties, of the best olive trees in the Quinta, which, after careful analysis, extraction and tasting, are combined to give rise to the most noble and extraordinary olive oil from Casa Anadia.
We believe that this is a masterpiece of Portuguese olive oils, 100% natural, and has not been filtered to keep all of its original properties.
To guarantee the final result, the olives are harvested in a traditional manual and mechanical way by vibration, in perfect ripeness.
Cold extraction, on the other hand, by a continuous two-phase process, decanter, approximately 2/3 hours after harvesting.
Tasting Notes: Casa Anadia Private Collection Extra Virgin Olive Oil Special Edition it’s Fresh, balanced, complex olive oil, with fruity green olives for ripe, green olive leaf notes, apple, slightly bitter and spicy with a relatively persistent finish in the mouth, with a touch of dried fruits.
