The "SABOR River" is an international watercourse, it has its source in the Sierra de Gamoneda, in the Spanish province of Zamora, shortly after entering Portugal, crossing the Serra de Montesinho, in the district of Bragança. It is one of the many tributaries of the Douro River by its right margin; passes by the city of Bragança, receiving the waters of the Fervença river, and flowing downstream of the Pocinho Dam, in the village of Foz do Sabor, which belongs to the municipality of Torre de Moncorvo. In its bed was built by EDP the Baixo Sabor dam. The total length of this river is 120 kilometers. "Terras do Sabor" Olive Oil is extracted at low temperatures from the Verdeal variety in the Transmontana, Madural and Santarhana varieties (the Santana variety only exists in the parish of Matela and Santollão). It is an olive oil of superior category obtained from olives solely by mechanical means. Extra virgin olive oil with a maximum acidity of 0,5.
