Maria de Santar White Wine

Dão Wine Region.

Nature has given the Dão Demarcated Region a set of happy geographical coincidences. Among deeply mountainous areas, valleys coexist with hills and smooth, rounded slopes.

The white wine Maria de Santar, is a wine from the Dão Region, very suitable to be the day-to-day wine, characteristic of the region due to the inclusion of the typical Dão grape varieties.

This white wine Maria de Santar is a wine whose harvest took place in the second week of September. The grapes were harvested manually, for small boxes of 18 kg, according to a careful selection of the best grapes in the vineyard. The grapes were fully destemmed and immediately pressed. The resulting must went into a small stainless steel tank, where it decanted at low temperature for 48 hours. The clean must fermented with indigenous yeasts at a controlled temperature to preserve all aromas. This wine aged only in stainless steel tanks, to preserve all the freshness and natural aromas of the grape varieties that gave rise to it.

Tasting Notes: Maria de Santar white wine in the glass is clear and light in color, then on the nose the aromas of tropical fruit such as bananas and pineapples can be felt, with hints of citrus, already in the mouth it is a mineral wine, with a lively acidity that it gives you a lot of freshness and a persistent finish.

Grapes/varietes: Encruzado, Malvasia e Cerceal.

Harmonization: As we present this wine for the day-to-day, it can be the company of a warmer day, as well as a good option to accompany the daily meals, namely fish, salads and white meats with this Maria de Santar White Wine.

Serving temperature is: Serve between 5º and 7ºC.
