Cismeira Branco, common in the exterior, is of great interior curiosity, exuberant, calm color, spontaneous aroma that leaves no one indifferent to the organoléc abilities that emerge from the soul and autencity of a Douro.

TASTING NOTES

Its greenish lemon color transports us to a great intensity of floral and tropical fruit aromas, slight herbaceous characteristic of the location and nascent exposure of the vineyards in the plateau of São João da Pesqueira. Its sharp and vibrant acidity, fills the mouth with refreshing sensations.

VITICAL YEAR

An anomalous year from the climactic point of view, in relation to the last years. Winter was cold and dry, spring was cold and extremely rainy, and summer was initially cold and rainy and later hot and extremely dry.

VINIFICATION

Grapes from the Vale d ́Açor estate, located on the plateau of São João da Pesqueira at an average al4tude of 600 meters. Manual and careful harvesting for boxes of 15 kgs between the last week of August and the first week of September. Pressing of the whole bunches at low pressure, the must after pressing was clarified by decanting at low temperature. This was followed by alcoholic fermentation in temperature controlled stainless steel tanks at 15°C for 25 days.

AGEING

The wine aged in contact with the fine lees with weekly bâtonnage for 6 months in stainless steel tanks until bottling in March 2019.

CONSUMPTION

Can be consumed immediately or may be stored for 5 to 6 years if in good storage conditions in a horizontal position. Serve between 7°C - 9°C.
