Tips for enjoying good wine in summer!

 

We're in the middle of summer, a time when lighter wines predominate, especially rosés and whites. White wines are made from white grapes or unpeeled red grapes and one of their characteristics is that they result in wines with a lighter and more refreshing taste than red wines. They generally have a slightly lower alcohol content and higher acidity.

 

Good examples of this are single varietal wines, made with, for example, Chardonnay, Sauvignon Blanc and other grapes.

 

For this summer we are offering an excellent selection of Summer Wines: our Summer Wines Pack 2022.

 

This is a careful selection of six light wines from different origins: Vinhos Verdes, Douro, Alentejo and Algarve. Wines that you can enjoy by the pool, by the beach or simply in the comfort of your own home.

 

In the Summer Wines Pack 2022 you'll find White Wines with a light and refreshing taste that you can pair with chicken, fish, seafood or pasta dishes with more delicate sauces, and another good option is to pair with salads.

Red wines, on the other hand, have more tannins and intensity and are produced with reddish or purple grapes. Fuller-bodied, they are among the most consumed and, as their main characteristic, have a marked presence of tannins.

 

The lighter varieties go well with grilled and roasted meats and rice dishes. Fuller-bodied wines go well with mature cheeses and spicy foods.

 

In this pack, we've included a very appropriate red wine for this season and from the southernmost region of our country - the Algarve, where beaches and seaside resorts predominate.

 

You can also enjoy Rosé wines, with elegance and freshness in the glass. Rosés are a middle ground between white and red wines. They are light wines, but at the same time have a strong flavor.
