Many people have no idea about the amazing wine values you can find from Portugal. Well, what are they… exactly? We have been telling you a lot and we will continue sharing everything you need to get started with Portuguese wine and our amazing art of flavors…from the regions, the small vineyards, to the soils, grapes and the people passionate about what they do on their land!

Because Portugal’s wine culture developed in relative isolation, many grape varieties do not grow anywhere else in the world. If you do not recognize the grape variety on a Portuguese wine label, don´t be worried it is quite common and in our opinion a good thing. You will have a lot to discover!

There are over 280 native varieties and a few imports (including Alicante Bouschet) that have adapted well to the Portuguese landscape (and they are delicious).

To many wine experts, Portugal is the last frontier of wine in Western Europe; there is still so much to be tasted and explored. With all the enjoyment Portugal offers, one of our big passions is support our independent winemakers and spread the quality of our products.
